You Are Good Enough
Jan 05, 2022Romans 3:22-24 AMP - This righteousness of God comes through faith in Jesus Christ for all those [Jew or Gentile] who believe [and trust in Him and acknowledge Him as God’s Son]. There is no distinction, since all have sinned and continually fall short of the glory of God, and are being justified [declared free of the guilt of sin, made acceptable to God, and granted eternal life] as a gift by His [precious, undeserved] grace, through the redemption [the payment for our sin] which is [provided] in Christ Jesus.
A few months ago God led me to begin writing these daily inspirations five days a week. I wasn't exactly sure what I would say and then God directed me to this biblical promise.
Isaiah 50:4 NIV - The Sovereign Lord has given me a well-instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being instructed.
This morning as I was asking God what to say, He said "tell my children they are good enough." And then He pointed me Romans chapters 3 to 8.
Have you ever met a mean Christian? Someone angry, stingy and full of judgment? Someone full of religion but running empty on love? They are usually very insecure and full of condemnation. Why? Because down deep they don't feel good enough.
The same is true for someone who rejects God's biblical blessings and prosperity, who has trouble trusting God to make good on His promises. They don't know who they are. They've never felt good enough to receive all of God's blessings over their lives.
And then there are many Christ-followers who want and desire the full blessings of God, they too don't feel quite good enough. While they may sense a God-planted dream inside themselves, they feel unqualified, too old, too this or that.
The common thread between all of these is a lack of identity in true righteousness.
If you are a Christ-follower, you are in right-standing with God, despite your continued sin which has already been forgiven. Your past, present and future sins are covered by the blood of Jesus. Your conduct has nothing to do with your righteousness. Righteousness comes by faith not by works. You are good enough right now.
Romans 3:22-24 - This righteousness of God comes through faith in Jesus Christ for all those [Jew or Gentile] who believe [and trust in Him and acknowledge Him as God’s Son]. There is no distinction, since all have sinned and continually fall short of the glory of God, and are being justified [declared free of the guilt of sin, made acceptable to God, and granted eternal life] as a gift by His [precious, undeserved] [grace, through the redemption [the payment for our sin] which is [provided] in Christ Jesus.
You can't earn righteousness. (Romans 3:22)
The price of your righteousness was paid for by the blood of Jesus. You are now blessed, not cursed. Deuteronomy 28:1-14 is now for you, because you are blessed. The remainder of that chapter isn't for you because you have been redeemed from the curse, you have been justified by God, you are now the righteousness of God through Jesus Christ.
Romans 4:7-8 NIV - Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord will never count against them.”
Because of your righteousness, you are justified, not condemned. You see, guilt and condemnation come from satan, not Christ. You are now free through grace and faith.
Being righteous is a powerful force. It give us the ability to rein as kings in life.
Romans 5:17 AMPC - For if because of one man’s trespass (lapse, offense) death reigned through that one, much more surely will those who receive [God’s] overflowing grace (unmerited favor) and the free gift of righteousness [putting them into right standing with Himself] reign as kings in life through the one Man Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).
When you become AWAKE to righteousness (1 Corinthians 15:34), satan can no longer convince you that you don't have rights. The righteous have rights. Just like an American citizen has rights under the US Constitution and Bill of Rights which guarantee our freedoms. The blood of Jesus and the 6000 plus biblical promises give us full rights as children of God because by faith (not conduct) we have been made righteous, fully justified by God Himself.
Righteousness has made you an heir to God and co-heir with Christ. You have rights when you are righteous. The scriptures say you are called, justified and glorified. (Romans 8:28-30)
You are good enough, more than a conqueror through Him who loves us. Get this down deep into your spirit and into your identity, because this is who you are —right now.
The righteousness requirement has been met — it's time for you to rein as kings!
Walk like it. Talk like it.
