On Monday,  Peter Walker from Carta and I found ourselves writing about the same intriguing trend:

We had slightly different takes, 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗼-𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 is gaining momentum

And right alongside it, we’re seeing a surge in founders 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗼𝗼𝘁𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 rather than chase venture capital.
