The Full Stack Entrepreneur — Partnered and Powered by God
Feb 27, 2021To my fellow mountain climbers:
If you are pursuing a God-planted entrepreneurial dream, you must develop an entrepreneurial mindset and skillset to achieve your dreams and goals.
The ugly reality is 90% miss this and fail.
And if you want to be partnered and powered by God, His Word (The Bible), must become the center of your life.
95% miss this and fail.
Becoming Full-Stack
If you are struggling to grow a small business, especially by yourself, you'll need to learn what it takes to become a full-stack entrepreneur. If not, statistics show there's a 90 percent likelihood you and your business will fail.
What is a full-stack entrepreneur?
Like a full-stack software developer, a coding ninja who can develop a tech product from front-end to back-end by themselves, a full-stack entrepreneur has learned the strategy, methods, tech, tools, and tactics to launch and grow every aspect of a new venture by themselves.
This doesn't mean you don't have a team, it does mean you must be the owner-architect of your revenue growth strategy. Delegate this responsibility to the wrong person and they'll sink your ship.
Serial entrepreneurs are commonly full-stack entrepreneurs. They have the skills (the know-how) to repeatably build successful companies.
The term full-stack is a relatively new description of an entrepreneur who is also a serial revenue generator. They have the know-how to create and execute a customer acquisition system that will produce consistent revenue.
The top 5% of entrepreneurs are full-stack. They have the Know-How. But to keep the know-how, you must become a continuous learner committed to growing your entrepreneurial mindset and skillset. Those who don't will get left behind.
The full-stack entrepreneur has an Uncommon Know-How.
Be Partnered and Powered by God
If you are pursuing a God-planted entrepreneurial dream, you'll need to learn what it takes to be partnered and powered by God. This requires spiritual know-how. That is, biblical wisdom, understanding, and knowledge.
I love this biblical promise:
Deuteronomy 8:18 NIV - But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.
Here's the same scripture but from the amplified translation:
Deuteronomy 8:18 AMP - But you shall remember [with profound respect] the Lord your God, for it is He who is giving you power to make wealth, that He may confirm His covenant which He swore (solemnly promised) to your fathers, as it is this day.
If we are willing to learn, God promises to give us the know-how to succeed and prosper! Why? To create wealth for our families, our team, and to be generous to those less fortunate on every occasion. This is part of God's biblical prosperity and generosity. They go hand in hand.
Combine the two, a full-stack entrepreneur who is partnered and powered by God, and you will become an unstoppable force, becoming successful and prosperous in all that you do.
The Journey
This article is written for those on the journey, fully committed to becoming full-stack entrepreneurs partnered and powered by God.
I am often called the prophet of profit by those who know me because I am inspired by God to speak LIFE into my fellow entrepreneurs.
I love speaking God's Word into you. To me when I read God's Word, it cries out, prophesying God's plan and purpose for us all. I want you to profit in every area of your life, both spiritual and material.
I want you to be successful in fulfilling God's plan and purpose for your life.
God specializes in taking very ordinary people like you and me, and doing something extraordinary with our lives. Something that matters.
In fact, God often chooses the foolish things of this world to shame the wise. God says it is HE who chooses the winners and losers.
1 Corinthians 1:27 AMP - But God has selected [for His purpose] the foolish things of the world to shame the wise [revealing their ignorance], and God has selected [for His purpose] the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong [revealing their frailty].
Folks, I love this. He promises to teach us, IF, we are willing to learn.
John 14:26 AMP - But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you.
James 1:5 AMP - If any of you lacks wisdom [to guide him through a decision or circumstance], he is to ask of [our benevolent] God, who gives to everyone generously and without rebuke or blame, and it will be given to him.
From Ordinary To Extraordinary
God's anointing on our lives makes us extraordinary. He knows how to take ordinary individuals like you and me, and develop us into extraordinary entrepreneurs.
Jesus promises to turn your water into wine.
And He'll never ask you to do something and not give you the ability and resources to accomplish it. He multiplies what we have.
All we have to do is put ...
- Our life
- Our dreams
- Our goals
- Our ability
- Our faith
- Our learning
... in His hands.
If you allow God to use what you have, He will multiply it. You are anointed to be you, right where you are, with what you have. Be confident in what God has already given you.
Trust Him to multiply it. Trust Him even when you don't understand what He is doing.
As you continue taking steps up the entrepreneurial mountain, be assured that everything you will need, God will provide along the way. You have to keep moving forward on this pursuit of entrepreneurial and spiritual know-how.
Look, deep inside every human is a God-planted dream. God has a master-plan for the universe and for each and every human in it. These scriptures are my proof.
Jeremiah 1:5 - NIV - “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
Jeremiah 29:11 NIV - For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
1 Corinthians 2:9 NIV - However, as it is written: “What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived”—the things God has prepared for those who love him.
Isaiah 14:24 NIV - The Lord Almighty has sworn, “Surely, as I have planned, so it will be, and as I have purposed, so it will happen.
Ephesians 2:10 NIV - For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Psalm 138:8 NIV - The Lord will work out his plans for my life—for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever. Don’t abandon me, for you made me.
Ephesians 1:4-5 NLT - Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.
Psalm 37:23-24 AMP - The steps of a [good and righteous] man are directed and established by the Lord, And He delights in his way [and blesses his path]. When he falls, he will not be hurled down, Because the Lord is the One who holds his hand and sustains him.
Then Just Admit It
(don't read this part if you are easily offended)
If what you are doing isn't working, the reason is simple, you don't know-how.
Look, if you knew how it would already be working, right? Just admit it. Then commit to learning how. It's that simple.
If you are not full-stack, admit it and learn how.
If you don't know how to be partnered and powered by God, just admit it. Then commit to learning how.
Learn how to get the know-how.
What do they say? Learn it ... to earn it!
Proverbs 1:5 AMP - The wise will hear and increase their learning, and the person of understanding will acquire wise counsel and the skill [to steer his course wisely and lead others to the truth].
However, the opposite of a learning-heart is a stubborn-heart. The entrepreneur with a stubborn heart is full of pride. When what they are doing isn't working, they can't seem to admit it. So they keep on doing what doesn't work. Their prideful reasoning always justifies their lack of results.
It's like listening to a lousy golfer brag about their swing.
The scriptures warn us what will happen to a person full of pride and ignorance. It ain't pretty.
Leviticus 26:19-20 AMP - I will break your pride in your power, and I will make your sky like iron [giving no rain and blocking all prayers] and your ground like bronze [hard to plow and yielding no produce]. Your strength will be spent uselessly, for your land will not yield its produce and the trees of the land will not yield their fruit.
Proverbs 18:12 AMP - Before disaster the heart of a man is haughty and filled with self-importance, but humility comes before honor.
Daniel 5:20 NLV - But when his heart and mind were puffed up with arrogance, he was brought down from his royal throne and stripped of his glory.
The reason I bring up the stubborn heart is that it's the #1 reason why entrepreneurs fail. I see it every day. It's a destructive mindset capable of destroying our dreams and lives.
So listen to me when I say this, I'm not writing to you as an entrepreneur know-it-all.
I am forced to climb the same mountain with the same obstacles that you are. As long as the landscape keeps changing (and it never stops), I am continually learning new strategies, tech, tools, and tactics to stay fresh. Stay frosty. Stay alive.
Why, because the thing that gets you there, rarely keeps you there. Let's go and grow from adventure to adventure, mountain to mountain, season to season, assignment to assignment, wineskin to wineskin, and faith to faith.
Commit your heart to become a full-stack entrepreneur who is partnered and powered by God.
