Pregnant with a dream — but can't seem to deliver the baby?
Sep 20, 2021How many of you are pregnant with a God-planted dream — but you can't seem to deliver the baby?
The same thing happened to Hannah in the Bible. (1 Samuel 1)
She had a dream of having a son. But the scriptures say God actually closed her womb. (1 Samuel 1:6)
Every day I meet innovators at CanaGlobal who are pregnant with a God-planted dream to do something purpose-driven with God in the marketplace.
But instead of giving birth to their dreams, they've run into unexpected delays, unusual difficulties, and deadends that look final.
They cry out to God asking "Lord, why would you put these dreams in my heart and then allow every door to be closed?"
In the biblical book of 1 Samuel, Hannah pleaded with God the same way.
Giving birth to our dreams is a painful process that includes suffering and testing. During the process, your hunger for the proverbial baby will increase exponentially. Your trust and dependence on God will increase as well. This is all part of God's process of growing and preparing us for success.
In Hannah's tearful prayers, she vowed that if God would allow her to give birth, she would dedicate and surrender her baby to the Kingdom of God.
She didn't do a deal with God, she just expressed her devotion to God. And after some time, God granted her wish and she gave birth to the Prophet Samuel.
Friends, if you won't give up, and keep moving forward pursuing the dreams God has placed in your heart, God will open the womb of your dreams as He did for Hannah.
Allow your hunger to increase, it will drive you forward. Vow to dedicate and surrender your plans to God.
Over the years I experienced this in my life. Most of the dreams have come to pass. But some I'm still waiting on. I too grow impatient at times asking God if the dreams are from Him, why He allows the delays.
But I'm reminded by The Holy Spirit of this.
Isaiah 40:31 - But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
So, lets you and I wait together with the full expectation. That God will open the doors to our dreams and destiny.
**We are here for each other ...
2 Corinthians 1:3-5 - All praise to the God and Father of our Master, Jesus the Messiah! Father of all mercy! God of all healing counsel! He comes alongside us when we go through hard times ...
>> and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us. <<
Today, let's walk beside each other, lifting each other up.
