New startup founders are slow to learn this.
Dec 21, 2023New startup founders are slow to learn this. They think their ideas are v100 when they are actually v2 or 3. The Biblical term for this is stupidity.
"A [closed-minded] fool does not delight in understanding, But only in revealing his personal opinions [unwittingly displaying his self-indulgence and his stupidity]. " (Proverbs 18:2 AMP)
When a new venture finally takes off, it's because the founders have finally worked out all of the stupid parts of their plan. That's when revenue and profitability begins to explode.
Often times when we first take our original business idea (version 1) we are swimming in a pool of stupidity.
And then as we learn and make adjustments (version 100) we've left all of bad ideas behind.
This is just the nature and evolution of success.
I assume that when I have a new idea, v1, I'm probably swimming in stupidity.
I keep learning, learning and learning until I'm past all the stupid parts.
I usually have to be open about radically changing my thinking and doing to get a change in my results.
What stops the learning and growing is pride. Part of being stupid is being prideful.
Hosea 4:6 spells this out.
"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge [of My law, where I reveal My will].
Because you [the priestly nation] have rejected knowledge."
El Stupido is No Bueno!
