Meet Jesus the Lion

Sep 14, 2022

Let’s get something straight about Jesus.

Not fake Jesus, that’s a version many have invented in their minds.

That’s the made-up Jesus that goes along to get along.

Oftentimes people will say, “Well, it’s all about love!” and that’s true. But they've often manufactured their own version of love as well!

God is love. Jesus is God and He is love too.

Never forget God/Love wiped out mankind, remember Noah’s ark.

- Love wiped out Sodom and Gomorrah.

- Love destroyed many evil Kingdoms along with the men, women and children in these Kingdoms.

- Love did that! The Father, Son and Holy Spirit did that.

- Love killed Ananias and Sapphira in the book of Acts.

And if you want to know what’s coming in the future, read the book of Revelation.

Love wipes out His enemies, all who reject Jesus.

Make no mistake, God created the world and He loved the world enough to send Jesus, The Lamb, as the sacrifice for the sins of mankind.

Whoever believes in Jesus is not condemned. But God’s wrath remains on everyone who rejects Jesus.

The scriptures refer to Jesus as the Lamb, the sacrifice for our sins, but also as the Lion from the Tribe of Judah.

Jesus is a conqueror. A victorious King. The Lord of Lords.

This is Jesus the lion.

He came to destroy works of the devil and satan’s strongholds. (1 John 3:8)

What did Jesus do when He faced someone possessed by evil? He kicked the demon out.

What did the disciples do when they encountered evil. The same thing as Jesus.

Why is all of this important?

It’s important because Jesus authorized His church (that’s us) to do what He did. John 14:12 says we will do even greater things than Jesus.

The church has allowed evil to reign in the seven marketplace mountains of cultural influence.

- Business
- Education
- Government
- Media
- Arts & Entertainment
- Family
- And even in Religion

The church, the body of Christ, has allowed this to happen on our watch.

We go along with what we are told to do, to get along — with evil!

“Well Gerald, what would Jesus do?” I’ve got news for you, He already did it!

Now it’s up to His church (us) to enforce what got done on the cross and resurrection.

We need to get rid of our cross mentality and replace it with a throne mentality. We are the body of Christ seated positionally with Jesus on the throne, right now.

The head of the church is Jesus. Meet the Lion!

We are His body, and we are to fight evil as bold as a lion.

2 Corinthians 10:4 NIV - The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.

If you are a Christ-follower, we’re not on a cruise ship, we’re on a battleship. You are part of the army of the Lord.

I plead the blood of Jesus over all creation!

-Gerald
