Is God your abundant provider of everything spiritual and material?

Feb 27, 2024

If you are a follower of Jesus Christ, is God your abundant provider of everything spiritual and material, or just spiritual?

Or is God stingy with the material?

And if He's not your provider of everything material, who is?

You?

Does God promise to give you the desires of your heart?

Everything but materially?

Are we on our own?

And if He is the provider of everything spiritual and material, how much is too much?

- is a funded retirement too much?

- is being debt free too much?

- is owning our homes too much? (zero debt)

- is leaving an inheritance for our children's children too much?

- is giving away millions too much?

Who gets to decide all this? Some dead theologian?

Look, I get it, if the Bible isn't the infallible Word of God to you, then some dead theologian's opinion is probably more important to you than the actual Word of God. Your'e like a communist who doesn't believe in the authority of the US constitution.

I'm not trying to convince you of anything. YOU DO YOU!

But for everyone else, the Bible is a book of promises. If it says it, He'll do it.

It's all according to your faith.

Over the past few weeks I've been a guest on the American Dream Radio show on iHeart radio. We've been discussing prosperity and the idea of faith-driven entrepreneurs who are out to be in the top 1% of earners. ($591,550+ a year)

If you are a follower of Jesus Christ and you love money, you're not much of a follower. Perhaps you're a believer (as is satan) but you're not following.

Here's some boomer advice.

Make all you can.
Save all you can.
Invest all you can.
Give away all you can.

God has some promises for the generous giver.

>> You will be enriched in every way so that you may be generous, and this [generosity, administered] through us is producing thanksgiving to God [from those who benefit]. (2 Corinthians 9:11 AMP)

When it comes to earning and giving, don't be afraid to swing for the fences.

If you have a generous heart, God will use you and and your venture to abundantly bless others.

Remember, your personal income isn't all about you. That's plain selfish.
