If your very best thinking is producing lousy results ...
Mar 05, 2024If your very best thinking is producing lousy results, are you willing to change your thinking to change your results?
Yes?!?! No?!?!
There are always areas of my life that aren't producing the results I want.
- in business
- in my faith walk
- in relationships
- in my finances
- in my health
I know God wants to prosper every area of my life. (3 John 1:2)
But when an area of my life isn't prospering, I know that I have to "be-willing" to change my thinking. (Isa 1:19)
My thinking, believing and talking must be aligned with the Word of God.
God has given us His Word to get our thinking straightened out.
So often, it's my approach to solving a problem that is wrong. The way I'm thinking about it is off. I'm trying to do things man's way instead of God's way.
Again and again, I go God with these three questions:
#1 - Lord, show me what's going on.
#2 - Lord, show me what to do.
#3 - Lord, remind me of what you promise to do.
(Matt 7:7 & James 1:5)
This is how I crack-the-code to my problems.
One major change in my requests to God came through the revelation of Mark 11:24 and Hebrews 11:1.
God showed me through His Word that when I made a request, I was to pray believing that I had received what I was praying for. That was faith.
Remember, everything is according to your faith.
I don't have to keep asking Him for the same thing over and over when He's already said yes through His Word. Instead I should come to Him thanking Him for what's done in faith and trust Him for His how and His when.
Not hoping or pleading with God, but to just believe and receive BEFORE the request was manifested.
I had to be willing to change my thinking about faith and align it with what the Word actually said.
For me this has been an incredible results-changer.
Folks, don't double-down on what isn't working for you. That's stubborn pride and God will oppose you.
If your very best thinking is producing lousy results, be willing to change your thinking. Then watch your doing and results fall in line with God's promises and produce fruit in your life.
For me, this has been the key, being present in God's presence every day. He's my first and last meeting of EVERY day. Meeting with Him is my #1 priority every single day. No exceptions.
