I got stuck with a client’s $750,000 media bill.

I had a client run up a huge advertising bill on my credit line. He let it get 90 days behind and then went out of business.

How did I let that happen? Stupidity!

I didn’t have the money to pay for it.

So what happened?

I filled my mind with doubt, fear and worry.

I was begging for God to rescue me, instead He said this ...

"Everything I’m ever going to do for you has already been done through my Word. Seek out my biblical promises and then according to your faith it will be done for you”.

I found 20-30 biblical promises and wrote them out on flip charts.

For one week I read the promises over and over. I had to decide if I really believed them.

This one stood out to me …

Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Mark 11:23-24

- Whatever you ask for
- Believe that you have received it
- And it will be yours

The question was if I was willing to believe the promises of God?

I decided to just believe. To go all in.

Every time I started getting into doubt (about 100x a day), I would speak these promises over and over. Sometimes I shouted them.

Then the miracle.

A few weeks later, I landed a HUGE contract, along with the cash to pay that past due bill in full.

That was in 2002.

What did I learn? Like Jesus promised in Matthew 9:29 — according to my faith it will be done for me.

God’s not moved into action by our needs, He’s moved by our faith.

Lesson: Develop the kind of faith that moves mountains.
