How to Partner with God in The Marketplace.

What does it mean to partner with God in the marketplace?

Since most of us will work 100,000 hours of our lives in the marketplace, what a privilege to actually do something that matters, something with purpose. Something from our Creator. A calling from God.

Throughout history, God has partnered with man to accomplish His purposes and will. Today He partners with man to transform the marketplace with the Kingdom of God. This is the Great Commission. (see Matthew 28: 18-20 and Mark 16:15-20)

So let's define the marketplace. There are seven marketplace mountains of societal influence:  faith, family, education, government, media, arts and entertainment, and business. God wants His influencers, innovators, and His changemakers (that's us) to transform the marketplace with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Look, you are called by God to co-create with Him. He creates the trees, we create chairs. He creates the wheat, man makes the cake.

If you are open to the idea of becoming an entrepreneur driven by Faith, Purpose, and Kingdom, God invites you to partner will Him.

And if you are willing, you will become very successful doing the things He created you to do. God already has The Plan. His Plan. And, He provides all of the resources necessary to succeed.

We only have to yield (surrender) ourselves to Him. In other words, get out of the driver's seat.

But what do you do when your life hasn't worked out the way you planned it, and you are stuck?

God already has the path and plan for your total recovery.

This is the exact time to pursue God's plan and purpose for your life. It will always consist of season and assignments.

Most of the people I know, including myself, found themselves pursuing God's plan and purpose for their life during a stuck season. A season when life hasn't worked out the way you planned it.

Especially in this season, you'll find yourself seeking God and His miraculous help.

What we know is God already has the path and plan for your total recovery.

And what satan meant for your total destruction, God will use to advance you.

John 10:10 AMP - The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].

Never forget this, His plan and purpose are to prosper you.

Jeremiah 29:11 NIV - For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

And since God's plans never fail, syncing our plans with His plans always leads to much success, in life and business. Total work/life balance and success.

I know this firsthand because for over three decades I've had the privilege of partnering with God in the marketplace. He has taught me how to prosper and be successful by following His plan and purpose for my life.

Now I teach others to do the same. Here are some of God's promises to you:

Proverbs 16:3 AMP - Commit your works to the Lord [submit and trust them to Him],
And your plans will succeed [if you respond to His will and guidance].

James 1:4 - And let endurance have its perfect result and do a thorough work, so that you may be perfect and completely developed [in your faith], lacking in nothing.

Hebrews 11:6 AMP - But without faith it is impossible to [walk with God and] please Him, for whoever comes [near] to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He rewards those who [earnestly and diligently] seek Him.

Philippians 4:19 - And my God will liberally supply (fill until full) your every need according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

2 Corinthians 9:8 - And God is able to make all grace [every favor and earthly blessing] come in abundance to you, so that you may always [under all circumstances, regardless of the need] have complete sufficiency in everything [being completely self-sufficient in Him], and have an abundance for every good work and act of charity.

But when you don’t know who you are, everything you do will be an effort to try to make yourself into something — to create your own identity. But your identity isn’t found in what you do, it’s found in who God says you are.

There is nothing you can do to change your identity because your identity is already established (as a believer). It’s not about trying to manage who you were. It’s about learning to live out who you have become.

It’s when you realize who you are, that you realize that you were behaving below your nature — you were living short of your potential.

John 15:16 AMP - You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed and placed and purposefully planted you, so that you would go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit will remain and be lasting, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name [as My representative] He may give to you.

The unfair advantage ... be powered by the Holy Spirit.

If you are a believer, then you know some things about the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We call this the Godhead or the Trinity. You may know a thing or two about God the Father, the great Creator. You know about the life of Jesus, the Son of God, but oddly, most believers know little about the Holy Spirit, especially as the third person of the Trinity. 

Let me share my unfair advantage as a serial entrepreneur driven by Faith, Purpose, and Kingdom.

Whatever success I've had in my life, as a husband, father, author, teacher, entrepreneur, and friend to many — is only the result of a life yielded (surrendered) to The Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit promises to give us power and to teach us everything. This power, plus wisdom, understanding, and knowledge, is part of our inheritance through Jesus Christ.

The Holy Spirit has taught me everything I know, including how to have the ability/power to create wealth as an entrepreneur.

From the NIV:

Deuteronomy 8:18 - But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.

From the AMP:

Deuteronomy 8:18 - But you shall remember [with profound respect] the Lord your God, for it is He who is giving you power to make wealth, that He may confirm His covenant which He swore (solemnly promised) to your fathers, as it is this day.

If you want to be a very successful entrepreneur driven by Faith, Purpose, and Kingdom, there are four vital business strategy ingredients and ten faith and purpose stages that you'll have to get really good at executing.

Do you want to know who has given me the wisdom, understanding, and knowledge to be successful? 

Like many before me, I am powered by the Holy Spirit. Anywhere in the Bible where it says The Spirit of God, it's referring to the Holy Spirit.

• The Holy Spirit gave Joseph supernatural wisdom, knowledge and power to be used in the marketplace. (See Genesis 41:38)
• In the thirty-first chapter of the book of Exodus, The Holy Spirit gave Bezalel and his craftsmen wisdom and skill, understanding and intelligence, and workmanship ability. He took their minds and gave their hands supernatural power and the ability to create the perfect and flawless tabernacle in the wilderness.  (See Exodus 31:3-5)
• In the book of Numbers, The Holy Spirit gave Moses, an ordinary man called by God for a special assignment, power, and great leadership.
• Same with Gideon, Samson, David, and I could go on and on.

This same power is available to you. Right now.

How?

Many years ago I found this promise in the Bible.

1 Corinthians 1:26-31 NIV - Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, so that no one may boast before him. It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.” 

At the time I was stuck. I had launched my first business, a staffing company in Newport Beach, CA. I was starving and struggling to produce revenue. I knew that God had called me to start this business. But I lacked the Know-How to be successful.

But when I read that scripture I screamed "Lord, if you are looking for the foolish things of the world to confound the wise, look no further, I'm your guy!"

Then I found these Biblical promises and I knew immediately they were for me:

1 Corinthians 2:12-16 - What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words. The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, for, “Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?" But we have the mind of Christ.

John 14:26 AMP - But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you.

Romans 15:13 AMP - May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you will abound in hope and overflow with confidence in His promises.

 Incredibly, I've been paid tens of millions of dollars (presently working on hundreds of millions) helping others to do the very same thing. To prosper in every area of their life.
