Don't Reject It.
Jun 28, 2022I am a believer in God's prosperity, not man's religion of social justice. I don't look to man for my prosperity; I look to God, my provider.
If you are looking for an opinion on what God says about prosperity, you can find one that will match whatever it is you want to believe.
Some Christians tend to throw around the word prosperity like the progressive left screams ... misogynist, homophobe, conservative, MAGA crowd, racists ... to attack people at odds with their beliefs into opposing camps.
To divide the goats from the sheep.
Having said that, prosperity, for whatever reason, has become a bad word for many Christians.
The problem is instead of defining what it actually means, and what the Bible actually says, they decide they don't like it.
And as a result, sadly, many have stopped asking God to prosper them, even though all throughout the Bible, He makes it clear that He desires to prosper us.
But just consider ...
- less that 6% of Christians actually have a biblical world-view
- less than 15% actually read the Bible on a daily basis
- AND over 60% of pastors DO NOT believe the Bible is the inerrant and infallible Word of God
... you can see why there is much fake news about biblical prosperity.
The reason so many Christians are against biblical prosperity when there are so many scriptures that clearly promise it is simple.
Satan's Lies.
First, they see prosperity through the world's definition, not through the lens of the scripture they don't read or believe.
Second, at some point in their lives they've asked God to prosper them, and when God didn't do what they wanted, WHEN they wanted it, like petulant children they joined the camp of believers WHO might believe IN God (so does satan), they just don't believe Him or His Word.
They have become low-faith individuals, many times low-faith intellectuals, who are especially bothered by anyone who has high-faith expectations, or faith expectations higher than theirs.
It's important to know the words prosper, prosperity and prosperous are in the Bible more than 80 times. Read them.
Friends, if you do, you will have a hard time believing God doesn't want to prosper you.
To anyone who desires God to prosper them in every area of their lives, this is great news.
Read it.
Believe it.
Everything is possible.
