Discouraged? Thinking things will never work out?
Apr 25, 2024It's easy to become discouraged, thinking things will never work out.
Especially for entrepreneurs. Here's what they miss.
- You are not defined by your failure.
- Instead, you are prepared by it.
Thomas Edison failed 2000 times trying to invent the light bulb.
Perhaps you feel that way trying to go-to-market with your idea.
The market and/or investors keep telling you no, no, no and more nos. Now add not getting a regular paycheck during all the failure.
It's easy to get discouraged. I get it! That how I often feel when things aren't working out the way I planned them.
When Thomas Edison was asked about his failure he said, "I never failed once, I just found 2000 ways that didn't work."
When God allows the setbacks, He's already planned/arranged the comeback.
- God promises to make your crooked paths straight.
- He promises to make rivers flow in your wilderness season.
- He promises to prosper you.
So when you become discouraged, understand that God has already made a way for you to succeed, even when you can't see it.
I know you might be getting the nos, but God has some yeses planned in your future.
Yes, you will accomplish your dreams.
Yes, your business idea will succeed.
Yes, you will finally make money.
Yes, you will get funded.
Yes, you will scale.
You just have to go-through the nos to get to your yeses.
All of God's promises are yes and amen.
The nos are just a test. Remember, we have to be faithful in the wilderness before God takes us to the promised land.
When I get discouraged, I never stay there. Instead I start declaring God's promises over my circumstances. My praise is the breeding ground for God's yeses.
That's how you walk by faith, not feelings. Keep marching forward, you are getting closer to God's yes!
