Becoming Humble, Grateful & Confident

Jan 17, 2022

Hebrews 10:35-36 AMP - Do not, therefore, fling away your [fearless] confidence, for it has a glorious and great reward. For you have need of patient endurance [to bear up under difficult circumstances without compromising], so that when you have carried out the will of God, you may receive and enjoy to the full what is promised.

You are Humble. You are Grateful. You are Confident.

One of the gifts God has given me is to see the finished product regardless of where you are in your journey. Whether I know you or not, I see the finished YOU. How? Because my best friend is your creator, God. I know Him and He's shared so much about what He's planned for all of us throughout His Word.

So in other words, I believe what the Word of God says about you.

I choose to see you, think about you, and speak about you through the lens of your potential and capability — in Jesus Christ. After all, it's He who strengthens you.

Let's examine the Humble You.

1 Peter 5:6-7 AMP - Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God [set aside self-righteous pride], so that He may exalt you [to a place of honor in His service] at the appropriate time, casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].

- You are under the mighty hand of God

- At the appropriate time, He will exalt you to a place of honor in His service (a marketplace disciple)

- He is asking you to cast all of your cares, anxieties, worries, concerns over to Him.

- He has gigantic shoulders, enough for the world's burdens

- He cares greatly for you with His deepest affection

Humility is straightforward, and not to be overcomplicated with a bunch of religion. To be humble, just be a continuous learner. Develop a learning heart, one that keeps on learning from the Holy Spirit. Refuse to be the prideful person who won't allow the Bible to get in the way of their beliefs.

When I read 1 Peter 5:5-7, this is the YOU I see. You are humble. You are easy to love.

Now let's explore the Grateful You.

1 Corinthians 15:57 AMP - But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory [as conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ.

- You are thankful

- You give the credit to God for your victories

- You are a conqueror

What is simple biblical promise. When I read this scripture and think of you, I see you as someone grateful, because you thank God for the victories. There is no victory without a battle, and so instead of complaining about the battle, you praise God for the victory. You are a true conqueror.

When I read the scriptures and think of you, this is how I see you, because this is how our Father made you. You are full of gratitude. Grateful.

How about the Confident You?

Psalm 27:3 AMP - Though an army encamp against me, my heart will not fear; though war arise against me, even in this I am confident.

- No matter what battle you are facing, you fear not

- Because you fear not, no matter what, you are confident

You have God's spirit in you, not the spirit of fear. Because you are humble, grateful, and choose to fear not, you are completely confident. This is how you were wonderfully made. God created you to be humble, grateful and confident because you know He lives in you. Your creator is inside you.

I choose to see you this way because this is how God created you to be. When I read through the scriptures, they describe you.

This is what I ask of you today. Will you choose to see yourself the way God created you to be? Humble. Grateful. Confident. Sometimes, because of your troubling circumstances, when you look in the mirror you only see dry bones because you have started to lose hope. But the Word of God speaks life into your dry bones. When I read the scriptures, what I see is the finished product. What God created you to be.

God has put His spirit in you. You are called. You are appointed. You are anointed. The Word of God speaks this over you, receive it and declare it by faith. In Jesus' name.

Be humble. Be grateful. Be confident.
