Are you sure you're partnering with God?
Jan 13, 2024Christians in business talk a lot (blah blah blah) about co-creating or partnering with God. But what does that really mean? How does it play out for you?
Many of us in business use strategic "key partnerships" with other companies or individuals to expand our audiences and grow our businesses.
These only work when we come into total agreement and alignment with their goals and values.
This only works when we engage in open, honest, and frequent communication. Clear communication is vital in setting expectations, resolving conflicts, and making collaborative decisions.
It's how we get on the same page and working cohesively.
>> Here's what I've learned about co-creating with God or partnering with Him.
1. Alignment of Goals and Values: For me, the key to understanding His goals and values is to spend an enormous amount of time learning "His ways of doing things" from His Word, the Bible (the book everyone owns but doesn't bother to read).
2. Clear Communication: I need to be meeting with Him daily, and really ... throughout the day. Having two-way conversations, both talking and listening to Him.
Like in Key Partnerships, this leads to trust and reliability. I need to know I can trust God to do His part, and He needs to know He can trust me to do mine.
Sort of the "He makes the trees, we build the chairs" thing.
God always chooses to partner with man and co-create with him.
But He's God, not us
He's the boss, not us
It's His way, not my way
Some relationships come easy, others take more work, but all require investing time to make them fruitful.
That's my 2 cents on co-creating and partnering with God.
I'd love to hear what are you learning or experiencing in this area.
